-Please Pray-
INDONESIA. Sam & Carol Soukotta, directors of the World Outreach (WO) sponsored Tawangmangu Bible College in central Java, write: “This year we are faced with the biggest financial need in the history of the bible college! The lease which Carol’s parents took out on the land over 40 yrs ago, expires early 2011. The government has told us that they will take over the property which includes the buildings, if we don’t purchase it for approx. US$372,000, which means we would all have to move out!! Of course we have surrendered this problem to the Lord, believing He will work things out according to His Will. We ourselves have no way of obtaining that much money but do believe if we trust in God, He can move upon the hearts of individuals to donate.” Let us unite our hearts & prayers with the Soukotta’s regarding this financial challenge.
BANGLADESH. Please keep Vijaya Chowdhuri and family, and the staff & students at Christian Discipleship Centre (CDC) in Dhaka, in prayer as they adjust to life without their dear husband / father / mentor – Biswanath. The family want to convey their thanks to all who prayed for them during Bisu’s health crisis, and the subsequent funeral arrangements. The trustees of CDC have appointed Vijaya as the new director. She requests our prayers and she takes up this responsibility.
STH AFRICA. Some 30+ personnel are halfway through the 6 week WO Nation Training Course, and reports from coordinator Lorraine Dierck, tell that everyone is thoroughly enjoying the cross-cultural studies. A number of participants are away from their families for the whole 6 weeks. The last 3 weeks can be the toughest. Please pray the Lord’s continued protection & good health upon the course facilitators, the delegates and their respective families & ministries.
TRAVELS. My wife Mary & I have a heavy travel & meeting schedule ahead of us between now and mid April and would request your prayers for safety, good health, divine appointments, divine favour and anointed meetings during our time in Sth Africa, England and Germany. Please uphold arrangements for our 3rd and final WO2010 Consultation set for March 28 – 31 in Sth Africa. Participants from the continents of Africa and Europe will gather together to hear, discuss, and plan re the future of WO, ie 2010 & beyond. Please cover in prayer all who will be involved in this event.

After rushing back from the Philippines to be with their daughter, Max & Dorothy Chismon are proud to announce that Shelly safely delivered a healthy little daughter (Joanna Grace), who weighed in at 2.8kgs - bigger than doctors expected. Husband Mike is wrapped. The whole family thank everyone who prayed for Shelly and baby (Joanna).
BANGLADESH. The Chowdhuri family were overwhelmed by the prayers, love and respect shown when Biswanath Chowdhuri was laid t rest in the CDC premises in Dhaka last month. More than 1,300 people gathered to celebrate the life of this wonderful man of God. Powerful, God glorifying tributes were brought by many from all walks of life.
HAITI. Thanks to all who have contributed to Haiti’s post-earthquake relief where WO partnered with Globe International. Check out our website www.world-outreach.com for updates. Further finance is needed. The recovery will be slow and long.
