25 Slave
Labourers Set Free
Human
slavery is still very much alive today ven in Burkina Faso! Recently,
at one of our outreaches in the Fulani village of Yamba we saw 25 slave
labourers respond to the message and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
The meetings had a real impact on the whole village so much so that the village
elders have asked us to return for more ministry.
Based on
the positive response, this village is open to having a Church established in
it for the very first time. Please pray with us that will happen.

Blind Man
Healed Can't Stop Working
Mr. Glom
was almost totally blind. He could sometimes make out a few words with a
magnifying glass if the light was bright enough. In recent times, as his sight declined, he
would just stay home all day in his remote village. He and his wife have
been Christians for seven years and kept praying for healing of his eyesight.
Earlier
this year, the pastor of our church visited them and reported back to the
Church that Mr. Glom had recently received back his full eyesight, is riding
his bike and is now back working in his rice fields.
I have
since visited him and his wife and suggested to him that he not work so
hard. His response was, I can't stop
working. I was virtually blind for seven years and now I can see. Jesus is my healer. I will serve him 100%. Praise God.¯

Take Every
Opportunity
From time
to time we visit a local hospital, offer to pray for the sick and for those who
are open, to lead them in prayer to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and
Saviour.
On a
recent visit, I was ministering to a friend and in the same room was a young 17
year-old Muslim boy who had been injured in a car accident and was in severe
pain, often groaning in agony.
I went
over to his bed and asked him his name. He replied, ohammed. I asked
him if he would like me to pray for him in the Name of Jesus Christ. He responded, Yes. I also told him
about who Jesus was and led him in prayer.
Two days
later I phoned the hospital to ask about Mohammed 's condition. To my shock, I was informed that this
beautiful, young man had died from a brain haemorrhage the day before. I found myself weeping for him but at the
same time thankful to the Lord that I took the bold step to reach out and pray
for him and lead him to Christ. his experience convinced me to that as
Christians we should take every opportunity to share the message of salvation
and reach out to the sick and hurting.

Crippled Man Healed
A man
called Alberto Celestino had not been able to walk for more than a year. He tells how his family carried him to every
witchdoctor in the area without finding a cure. He had begun his adult life with a lot of
money from growing cotton but used it all going to the witchdoctors. Finally,
he was carried into a house in Maupatia to die.
One of our
church leaders, Castro Cassimo, went to visit and share the gospel. .After three
days, Alberto Celestino received Jesus and they burnt all the many fetishes he
had from all the witchdoctors. That day as Castro Cassimo and another leader
left his house, Alberto Celestino stood up and followed him out walking for the
first time in 18 months.
For many
days, he walked and walked so excited to be able to walk againn and he loves to
tell his testimony of how he received Jesus.

Dead Man Raised To Life
This year has
seen amazing growth in souls saved, water baptisms and church plants in North
India. For example, in three months, among one particular least-reached
people group, 1,730 baptisms have taken place, 125 new house churches have
been established and 142 new leaders have committed themselves for training.
This is nothing short of the sovereignty of God!
Gyaneswar, is
now one of our new trainees and house church planter. Recently one of his
non-believing neighbours died suddenly leaving the deceased's family terribly
upset. Gyaneswar, on hearing the news, immediately rushed to visit
the family. He saw the dead person's body already wrapped in a
white sheet ready for burial after the local doctor had pronounced him dead.
Gyaneswar
felt stirred in his spirit that he should pray for the dead person. He
had never done anything like this before but the conviction was so strong that
he obeyed. Nothing at first seemed to happen. Then some local friends, not knowing what
Gyaneswar had done, came to carry the body off for cremation. Just as
they left the house, the body on the stretcher began moving. People were
both scared and excited, so they carried the body straight to the local
hospital.
When the
doctor examined him, they found the man was indeed breathing and immediately
attended to him. Today, the man is a walking testimony of God raising him
from the dead. His whole family have since become followers of Christ and
we expect the Lord to reap a great harvest in this town.

Thai Families Won To Christ
After our team shared the Gospel in this school in school in Sapudom, the
head teacher was very interested. Mr. Sompong asked a lot of good questions: Who
is Jesus? I am a Buddhist What would happen if I followed Jesus? How can I
learn more about God? We gave him a
Bible to read and kept praying for him. As the head teacher of the school, he could be very influential if he
became a Christian!
Meanwhile, Grandma Ouen was watching Noi baptize some new believers from
the Buachum house-church when she said, I believe too! Can I be baptized? She threw off her blouse, grabbed Noi’s arm and with a look of great
determination, plunged into the river.
She was so excited and happy when she came out of the water that she
started urging her whole family, Put your trust in Jesus! He will wash your
sins away!
Who responded to the message first? - Her youngest son Mr.Sompong. Last weekend, he prayed to receive Christ as his Saviour at Grandma
Ouens house. Another radiant witness
for Christ!
Please also pray for new believers, Ek, Tanya, Miew and Nong Earth as they
share their faith with their families in Tungsonghong. Our goal is to win at least three, whole
families to Christ and to plant two house-churches by the end of
2009.

Witch Doctor
Healed
Anita and Prista, two of the church planters we
minister to, are pastoring in the village of Mundun, West Kalimantan,
Indonesia.
Four years ago Anita began ministering in this village
and there was much opposition from some of the congregation due to her stand on
some issues. As a result, a few left the church and one person in
particular became a witch doctor.
Recently, this man became very sick and none of his
powers worked and he gradually became very ill. He was taken to hospital
and still did not recover. On returning, he called for Anita and Prista
who went to his home and prayed with him for three evenings.
Over the next few days this man was healed.
It was because of this demonstration of God's power that this man and
some others have repented and turned back to God. They have thrown away
all their idol worship artefacts and are now attending church again.
The Mundun Christians have been greatly encouraged and
had their faith strengthened by this incident. Please continue to pray
for these young girls serving God in this remote village.

Tribal Girl Can Now Smile
One year ago,Ponpun arrived at Baan Faa Mai (BFM). Initially, she had a very difficult time with study
because her previous village schooling was not strong.
She was also unable to sleep. She
experienced severe head pain and occasionally manifested, so her father
insisted on taking her back home. After
a while, she returned to BFM and following much prayer by students and
staff, the Lord set her free.
Ponpun
started doing things she enjoyed like cooking and studying English. She
felt the love of others at BFM and she heard the Good News of Jesus. She began praying. Her sad face gradually
changed into a big smile a sure sign that God was working in her
life.
In Thailand,
a good school grade is 2.5 - 3.5 but when Ponpun arrived her grade was
only 1.5.
